Ms. Kahlefent-Sharp has 40 years of experience in primary education. She finished her career retiring as a teacher of nine years from Jurupa Unified School District in Riverside, CA. Initially, she became involved in teacher through her long-standing love for helping young children. After pursuing her dream, she became an expert in teaching and education. She attributes her longevity in the career to her faith in God.
Throughout her years teaching, Ms. Kahlefent-Sharp has been member to a variety of different clubs and organizations to keep abreast of changes occurring in the educational arena. She held memberships with Canterbury Who’s Who, Premiere Who's Who, Biltmore Who's Who, California Teachers Association, National Educational Association, and Pi Lambda Theta. The highlight of her career was being accepted into Who's Who Among American Teachers. As well, she has received numerous nominations and awards from the American Biographical Institute. Ms. Kahlefent-Sharp received postgraduate coursework at the University of California, University of La Verne, Loyola Marymount University, and the California Baptist University. She completed a Master of Arts in teaching at the Grand Canyon University, and received a Bachelor of Arts in music from the California State University. In 1973, she began her first educational step by completing an Associate of Arts at California State Polytechnic University, Pomona.
Currently, Ms. Kahlefent-Sharp spends her free time singing in groups and making records. She sings in the Riverside Raincross Chorale, Riverside Master Chorale, and Riverside Opera Association. Her involvement with the local church choir provides her the opportunity to sing in English, Latin, Greek, French, Italian, German, Spanish, Hebrew, Yiddish, Russian, Catalan and Portuguese.
